World Shooting Championships: Meet Will Brown COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (July 26, 2010) ![]() Meet Will Brown, a member of the World Shooting Championships Junior Pistol Team. Brown is an outstanding young shooter who ruled this year’s National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships (NJOSC) Air Pistol Competition. He was also the 2009 NJOSC Free and Air Pistol Champion. Moreover, he recently claimed USA Shooting’s Rifle/Pistol National Shooting Championship titles in both Junior Air and Free Pistol. Brown is a native of Twins Falls, Idaho, and recent graduate of Twins Falls High School. He credits his home range as either his basement or the Twin Falls Rifle and Pistol Club. With his Steyr LP10 (air) and Toz 35 (free), Brown trains as often as possible, yet still struggles with staying dedicated and devoting enough time to practice. The best advice that Brown offers junior shooters is, “Don’t quit when things go wrong, just learn to take the obstacles head on.” Brown is an avid hunter and enjoys backpacking, hiking, anything involving altitude and the wilderness. Last year he shot a sizable six by six bull elk. Brown will be competing for the USA in the Junior Men’s 10m Air Pistol event as well as Junior Men’s 50m Free Pistol event. Good luck Will Brown! Dallas Safari Club (DSC) is a proud sponsor of USA Shooting’s Junior Team to the World Shooting Championship Team in Munich, Germany. An independent organization since 1982, DSC has become an international leader in conserving wildlife and wilderness lands, educating youth and the general public, and promoting and protecting the rights and interests of hunters worldwide.
